Abstract

The conductivity of semiconductors with respect to a weak alternating electric field in the presence of applied stationary electric and magnetic fields has been calculated. The energy band of free carriers is supposed to be isotropic but, in general case, non‐parabolic. Different special and limiting cases are considered. It is shown that the non‐parabolicity of the energy bands leads to qualitatively new results in the infrared range.
