A description is given of the behaviour of the catalyst for high cis-l,4-polybutadiene (nickel di/sopropylsalicylate-boron trifiuoride etherate--lithium butyl) in the presence of 1,2-butadiene, methyl acetylene, 1-butene and various organic nitro compounds.
