✦ Synopsis

Abstract

In this talk I will present a class of heterotic string theory compactifications which lead to four dimensional N = 1 supersymmetric vacua with standard model gauge group SU(3)~C~ × SU(2)~L~ × U(1)~Y~. I will compute their massless particle spectrum and show that it contains precisely three families of quarks and leptons and a certain number of SU(2) Higgs doublets.

## Abstract We report on some recent progress in understanding heterotic flux compactifications, from a worldsheet perspective mainly. We consider local models consisting in torus fibration over warped Eguchi‐Hanson space and non‐Kähler resolved conifold geometries. We analyze the supergravity solu

## Abstract We report on the construction of four‐dimensional string vacua by considering general abelian and non‐abelian bundles on an internal Calabi‐Yau for both heterotic theories. The structure of the resulting gauge sector is extremely rich and gives rise to many new model building possibilit
