✦ Synopsis

The electrochemical reduction of qy-dibromobutyrate has been carried out in DMF-Et4NC10, solutions on Hg cathodes. The influence of the electrolysis potential on the yields of the redaction products has been proved. AI more negative potentials, an electrocyclization "via" electrode-assisted ionization has been suggested.

Interferon-y (IFN-7) is a dimeric, secretory glycoprotein produced by T-lymphocytes. The glycan microheterogeneity of natural human IFN-y was characterized by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI/MS) combined with glycosidase digestion. Using an immunoblotting technique and goat antihuman C4, we observed five distinct electrophoretic variants of C4 in a panel of 60 random dogs. Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis analysis of immunoprecipitated C4 showed that dog C4 is composed of three polypeptide subunit chai

Matrix-assisted laser desorptionlionization (MALDI) has been employed for the determination of molecular weights of a-and &globins obtained from blood samples of healthy and diabetic subjects. Glycated species, originating from the reaction of glucose with the proteins, are easily evident. The MALDI
