## Abstract To examine the geographic association between __Helicobacter__ pylori infection and gastric cancer, we have assessed the prevalence of IgG antibodies to __H. pylori__ in plasma samples taken in 1983 from 1882 men, aged 35β64 years, in 46 rural counties of the People's Republic of China.

## Abstract A total of 5,209 asymptomatic, middleβaged subjects, whose serum pepsinogen (PG) and __Helicobacter pylori__ antibody levels had been assessed, were followed for 10 years. Subjects with positive serum __H. pylori__ antibodies (>50 U/mL) had an increased cancer risk (HR = 3.48, 95% CI =
## Abstract The prediction of __Helicobacter pylori__ antibodies immunoglobulin A (IgA) and immunoglobulin G (IgG) and serum pepsinogen I (PG I) on gastric cancer occurrence was studied in a nested caseβcontrol study, based on 225 incident cancer cases and 435 matched controls from a Finnish cohort
## Abstract Several polymorphisms of the __IL1B__ and __IL10__ gene promoters have been reported to be associated with gastric cancer risk in Caucasians. However, studies in other populations have shown differing results. We aimed to test for associations between polymorphisms in __IL1B__ (__β31__
## Abstract A longitudinal cohort study was conducted in __Helicobactor pyloriβ__infected middleβaged Japanese males to evaluate the preventive effects of __H. pylori__ eradication on the development of gastric cancer according to the extent of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG). The extent of CAG wa
