โœฆ Synopsis

HEATS

OF FORMATION OF THE SOLID SOLUTIONS OF ZINC, GALLIUM AND GERMANIUM IN COPPER* 0. J. KLEPPA'f and R. C. KING? The heats of formation of the solid solutions of zinc, gallium and germanium in copper have been determined by liquid tin solution calorimetry. The results for copper-zinc and copper-gallium are consistent with the predictions of the Friedel theory of metallic solutions.

This research produced statistically based, semimechanistic models describing partitioning of Cu and Zn in 40 soils from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom (UK), The Netherlands, and Chile with widely varying characteristics. Two different types of models were constructed, partitioning mo
