The heat capacities of La1-xCaxCrO3, x=0.10, 0.20, and 0.30, were measured with an adiabatic shield calorimeter at temperatures from 298.15 K to around 1000 K. Thermodynamic functions have been derived and Cp,m, D T 298.15 K H°m, and D T 298.15 K S°m were found to be nearly independent of the degree

The heat capacity of manganese monophosphide MnP has been determined by adiabatic shield calorimetry at temperatures from 5 K to 840 K. The heli-to ferromagnetic transition is noted only as a slightly enhanced heat capacity at T f 53 K. A -type heat capacity contribution with maximum at T s 289.5 K

The heat capacity of germanium diselenide GeSe 2 has been determined by adiabatic calorimetry at temperatures from (13 to 900) K. A phase transition not previously reported gives rise to a sharp λ-type heat capacity effect at T = 423 K. The overall estimated enthalpy of transition amounts to 1240 J•

The heat capacity C p,m of deuterated ammonium hexabromoplatinate, (ND 4 ) 2 PtBr 6 , was measured from T = 5 K to T = 350 K by adiabatic calorimetry. One λ-shaped anomaly was found in the curve for heat capacity against temperature. This λ-shaped transition reaches its maximum C p,m = 71.5 • R at T
