โœฆ Synopsis

The heat capacity of crystalline bis(4-chlorophenyl)sulfone was measured from the temperature (T=14) to (T=300 \mathrm{~K}) by adiabatic calorimetry. An incommensurate phase transition was detected as a second-order type of heat-capacity anomaly at (T=(148.5 \pm 0.5) \mathrm{K}). The molar enthalpy and the molar entropy of transition were ((43.1 \pm 0.1) \mathrm{J} \cdot \mathrm{mol}^{-1}) and ((0.314 \pm 0.005) \mathrm{J} \cdot \mathrm{K}^{-1} \cdot \mathrm{mol}^{-1}), respectively. Some thermodynamic functions were calculated from the heat-capacity results and the values were tabulated.

The heat capacities of tetrakis methylthio methane C SCH were determined at the 3 4 ลฝ . temperatures T s 13 to 360 K by using an adiabatic calorimeter. Three first-order phase transitions were observed, whose temperatures and enthalpy and entropy gains were determined as follows: transition from pha

The heat capacity C p,m of deuterated ammonium hexabromoplatinate, (ND 4 ) 2 PtBr 6 , was measured from T = 5 K to T = 350 K by adiabatic calorimetry. One ฮป-shaped anomaly was found in the curve for heat capacity against temperature. This ฮป-shaped transition reaches its maximum C p,m = 71.5 โ€ข R at T
