β¦ Synopsis
Magnetization of a cylinder of bulk superconductor Bil.7Pb0.3Sr2Ca2Cu30 v, whose length had been shortened stepwise, showed that He1 was independent of cylinder length. Thus Mc~ was independent of the demagnetic factor, when the length of the cylinder was larger than the diameter however, HΒ’~ was dependent on the demagnetic factor, when the length was smaller than the diameter. The demagnetization factor was constant, ~ΒΌ for /< d.
