Evaluation of 386 case histories of synringomyelia revealed that 40 of these patients had suffered a severe trauma before the onset of the neurological symptomatology. The present data suggest that in 24 patients trauma represents a pathogenic factor in the manifestation of the symptoms. 31icrotraum
