Herbert George Wells (1866-1946) est un homme pressé de vivre et d’aimer. Lecteur de Platon et de Darwin, ce fils de commerçants anglais, d'abord professeur de biologie, abandonne vite la dissection des grenouilles pour laisser libre cours à son imagination débridée.
