## Abstract Microscopic processes occurring on the surface of a growing crystal or a dissolving one were observed by microcinematography. The crystals under observation were grown either in a drop of solution by evaporation or in a constantโtemperature microscope stage at a chosen supersaturation.

## Abstract Growth rate data of (101) faces of KDP crystals as a function of the relative supersaturation of the solution are analyzed on the basis of BURTON, CABRERA and FRANK surfaceโdiffusion model applied to the growth from solution. The characteristic constants in the BCF function are determin
The aim of this work is to usr a diffusion layer model for the determination of individual rate constants of reaction and diffusion step of KCI at 30 "C. Crystal growth rate ~v a s measured by travelling microscope technique. From thc measured valiies of tho mean linear growth rate the resulting ind
The characteristics of macrospiral layers on growth surfaces of potassiuni bichroniate crystals and their quality are examined in relation to growth conditions. It was observed t h a t the layers become thick and rounded, more inclusions are trapped and the crystal quality deterioratcs with an incre
