β¦ Synopsis
Abstract
Semiorganic single crystals of thiosemicarbazide cadmium chloride (TSCCC) and mercury ions doped thiosemicarbazide cadmium chloride were synthesized by slow solvent evaporation technique. The grown crystals were subjected to powder Xβray analysis and both the crystals were found to crystallize in the monoclinic system. EDAX analysis was carried out for chemical analysis of the grown crystals. The UVβVisβNIR spectrum shows that both the materials have wide transparency window in the visible and near IR region. The dielectric studies were carried out to estimate the dielectric constant and dielectric loss with respect to frequency for both the crystals. (Β© 2009 WILEYβVCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)

Pure and Co-doped Li 2 B 4 O 7 (LBO) single crystals were grown by the Czochralski method. Starting concentrations of Co 2 O 3 in the melt were: 0.5, 0.85 and 1 mol% relative to Li 2 CO 3 . Technological factors affecting the quality of both crystals were discussed. Optical absorption and EPR spectr

## Abstract Silicon crystals grown with the Czochralski method are still the most common material used for the production of electronic devices. In recent years, a growing need of large diameter crystals with increasingly higher doping levels is observed, especially to support the expanding market
