โฆ Synopsis
The ground state rotational constants of the 13 CD 3 I molecule have been determined by combining the high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of the three lowest fundamental bands n 2 , n 3 , and n 6 together with 62 rotational transitions from the literature. The rotational constants obtained from these data were further used when combining the n 6 , n 5 / n 6 0 n 6 , and n 5 / n 6 bands in order to get numerical values for A 0 , and the related centrifugal distortion constants D K 0 and H K 0 .

The ground state rotational spectrum has been measured from 1 to 2600 GHz. These new measurements together with the older ones have been fitted to a standard A-reduced Watson-type Hamiltonian. The accuracy of the rotational and centrifugal distortion (including some octic ones) constants has been no
A careful rotational analysis of the ground vibrational state of the CHD 3 molecule is made on the basis of the ground state combination differences method using, as the initial information, transitions from 12 infrared absorption bands: n 3 (A 1 ), n 6 (E), n 5 (E), 2n 3 (A 1 ), 2n 6 (A 1 ), 2n 6 (
