The present report shows that System A-mediated 2-aminoisobutyric acid (AIB) uptake is elevated in hepatocytes isolated from adrenalectomized rats when they are compared to control cells. Although System ASC activity also shows this perturbation, Systems N, p, L1, and L2 are unaffected. Transport of
