A quantitative study by means of a glass pH electrode was made of the successive protonation of triethylenetetramine(trien), in the pH range 2.0-12.0 at 25Β°C for unit ionic strength (KNO,). The successive acidity constants of fully protonated H, trien4+ were found to be 10-3.
