✦ Synopsis
Germany: Clariant -DPP pigments
Clariant is building a new production facility on the Frankfurt-Hoechst complex, dedicated to the manufacture of red pigments based on diketo-pyrrolo-pyrrol (DPP). The new facility, costing €13 M, should be ready for production during 4Q 2004. Pigments based on DPP are lightfast, non-fading and extremely stable under thermal or mechanical influences. The synthesis of DPP pigments will be carried out for the first time in micro-reactors in a fully continuous process patented by Clariant.
