Reaction of l-trimethylsilyl-2,2-a~fluorocyclopropane detivtlive with aldehydes in the presence of a catalytic amount of TBA F (4 mol%) provides the correspondng cyclopropylcarbinols via cleavage of the carbon-silicon bond.
