โœฆ Synopsis

GaAs is described by its developers as the material of the future, and by its sceptics as staying that way. However, GaAs ICs are finding their way from military, specialist and specific applications into the arena of the mass market. The chicken and egg syndrome is being overcome, the mass markets are providing the impetus and the resulting volumes bringing down units costs, which is the only disadvantage GaAs has compared with silicon.

## Abstract On the basis of RF characteristics and measured smallโ€signal parameters, an equivalent circuit model was formulated and characterized for metalโ€semiconductor field effect transistors based on Hโ€terminated polycrystalline diamond. Starting from onโ€wafer measurements, a biasโ€dependent tra
