## Abstract ^14^Cโ€labeled hexahydroโ€1,3,5โ€trinitroโ€1,3,5โ€triazine (2, RDX) was prepared by nitrolysis of hexahydroโ€1,3,5โ€tripropionylโ€1,3,5โ€triazine (1) for bioenvironmental studies. 1 was synthesized from paraformaldehyde and propionitrile by a modified method reported earlier.
