Kinetic and spectroscopic evidente has been obtained for the formation of psroxyaIky1 nitrates via RCO + NO\* -ROONO2 (R = C,H,,+, , n = 1-6) using Cl-atom sensitized oxidation of alkane-NO2 mixtures and a long path Fourier transform IR spectroscopic detection method.
