โฆ Synopsis
Free transverse vibrations of unsymmetrically laminated plates according to the classical Kirchhoff assumptions are studied. Natural frequencies of unsymmetric cross-ply and antisymmetric angle-ply laminates are obtained. Exact solutions are determined when a pair of opposite edges are simply supported. For more general boundary conditions an approximate technique due to Bolotin is employed. Numerical results are compared with those of previously published investigations.
