✦ Synopsis
The infrared spectrum of cyanogen fluoride (FCN) in the 1800 to 2800 cm 01 region has been recorded with a Fourier transform spectrometer at an instrumental resolution of 0.0026 cm 01 . A total of 6822 absorption lines have been measured with an accuracy better than 6 1 10 04 cm 01 . Forty-nine bands of 19 F 12 C 14 N, twelve of 19 F 13 C 14 N, and four of 19 F 12 C 15 N have been analyzed. For these bands, the band origins and rotational constants B £ , D £ , H £ , and L £ as well as q £ , q D £ , and q are reported. We have also detected for the first time a perturbation in the 30 0 0 vibrational state. This perturbation is interpreted as due to an indirect effect of the two first-order anharmonic resonances between 30 0 0 and 02 0 1.

## Abstract In this study we present the electrochemically induced Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) difference spectra of the Cu~A~ center derived from the __ba__~3~‐type cytochrome __c__ oxidase of __Thermus thermophilus__ in the spectral range from 1800 to 500 cm^−1^. The mid infrared is dominat
The high-resolution Fourier transform infrared spectrum of nitromethane has been measured to obtain the rotation-internal rotation structure of the \(A\)-type \(\mathrm{CN}\) stretching band at \(917.5 \mathrm{~cm}^{-1}\). For the methyl rotor \(m=0\) state vibration-rotation transitions have been a
In the present work we demonstrate that infrared absorption frequencies and band shapes of poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA) homopolymers vary strongly with the type of spectra recorded. The reason is that, in general, any measured optical quantity, such as absorption, transmittance or reÑectance, is
