Abstract

Four new eremophilanolides, isolated from Ligularia sagitta, were identified as (1__β__,3__β__,6__β__,8__β__,10__β__)‐6‐acetoxy‐3‐(angeloyloxy)‐1,10‐epoxy‐8‐hydroxyeremophil‐7(11)‐en‐8,12__α__‐olide (1), (1__β__,3__β__,6__β__,8__β__,10__β__)‐3‐(angeloyloxy)‐1,10‐epoxy‐6,8‐dihydroxyeremophil‐7(11)‐en‐8,12__α__‐olide (2), (1__β__,3__β__,6__β__,8__β__,10__β__)‐3‐(angeloyloxy)‐1,10‐epoxy‐8‐ethoxy‐6‐hydroxyeremophil‐7(11)‐en‐8,12__α__‐olide (3), and (1__β__,3__β__,8__β__,10__β__)‐3‐(angeloyloxy)‐1,10‐epoxy‐8‐hydroxyeremophil‐7(11)‐en‐8,12__α__‐olide (4). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including 2D‐NMR techniques and chemical transformations.
