As the requirement for accuracy in sheet-formed products is increasing continuously, the forming technology to obtain precise products becomes a matter of concern. In this paper, factors affecting the accuracy of the products are discussed first, of which the distortion of the products arising when the forming load is removed is pointed out to be the most significant. The means of suppressing this distortion is then focused upon: after discussion of the principle of such means, new techniques where the principle is realized are introduced.
