The data on the diamagnetism of carbons are reviewed. The thermal variation of the susceptibility is well represented by the relation: 2 = x0 + -3-K0 (1 -eveiT) in which zO, K. and 8 are parameters. The values and the meaning of these parameters are discussed. A method is given for the mathematical
