โฆ Synopsis
Fluorescence
from an upper excited state of ~hydroxyben~ldehyde vapor at room temperature is reported. For excitatron at the O-O band of the absorption from the ground state to the upper excited state, the fluorescence spectrum is located in the wavelength range between 250 and 300 nm and the fluorescence quantum yield is 1.6~ 10e4.

Very weak fluorescence in the ultaviolet (210-380 nm) is observed when an anthracene crystal is excited at 397 nm. They are assigned as fluorescence from S2 and S1 states in the crystal. These higher excited states are populated by fusion of two S, excitons.
Rotationally resolved fluorescence spectra of OH in three different flames and for different excitation levels have been measured and analyzed. The extracted population distributions have been treated with a simple model based on a steady state rate approach. Global parameters such as the ratio of r
