The problem of viscous fluid past an axisymmetric body embedded in a fluid saturated porous medium is studied using the Brinkman's extension. A general formula for the drag on the body is derived in the form of a limit of an expression involving the stream function characterizing the flow. The flow

An analysis is made of the effects of the permeability parameter on the flow through a highly porous medium. The flow is forced and we have the presence of buoyancy forces arising from the species concentration. A family of solutions to the coupled non-linear equations are derived and solved numeric
