✦ Synopsis
The hyperfine structure of the (vЈ-vЉ) ϭ (27-0) band of the b 3 ⌸ u0 ϩ 4 X 1 ⌺ g ϩ transition has been observed by laser excitation spectroscopy in a highly collimated molecular beam. Hyperfine parameters for magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole interaction are derived from least-squares fitting of the hyperfine pattern and deperturbation between A 1 ⌺ u ϩ and b 3 ⌸ u0 ϩ.

The G-optimal first order (weighing) design with k factor,s and N observations is examined. It is shown that for N =-1 (rood 4), k < N -1, the G-0ritual design is also D-optimal, whenever a Hadamard matrix of order N-I exists. The same is true for the saturated designs with N=5, 13,25 It is also sho
Refined variational calculations of the first-and second-order hyperfine interaction coefficients dl and d2 have been performed for the hydrogen-molecute-ion. The electronic matrix elements were carefully stabilized for each coefficient separately and the vibration-rotation wavefunctions calculated
