✦ Synopsis
The femtosecond evolution ofthe wave packet is probed for ICI on the A 'II, potential surface. Vibrational transients for v' = 9-28 have been obtained by varying the wavelength of the pump pulse. The periods of the wave packet motion are used to invert to the potential AR( V). Both the RKR and a modified classical inversion method are applied and the advantages of both methods are discussed.
