## Abstract 1‐Pentene‐4‐^14^C and 1‐pentene‐5‐^14^C were obtained in one single step from iodoethane‐1‐^14^C and iodoethane‐2‐^14^C, respectively, by reaction with allylmagnesium chloride in tetrahydrofurfuroxytetrahydropyran (TFTP) as solvent. The synthesis was carried out on a twenty mmoles scale
