✦ Synopsis

A new method of monoprotection of C 2 -symmetric trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane as the N-phthaloyl, N-tetrachlorophthaloyl or N-1,8-naphthaloyl derivative is presented. The first two derivatives are obtained with high yields and can be readily transformed into other unsymmetrical derivatives of trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane.
