Ordered FePt 3 alloy nanowires have been electrodeposited into self-assembled anodic aluminum oxide templates. The radius of the FePt 3 nanowires is varied from 10 to 75 nm by controlling the synthesis conditions of the templates. Magnetization loops indicate that FePt 3 nanowire arrays that are 10
