## Abstract We examine the accuracy of metamaterial effective parameters extraction from the reflection and transmission data and show that this procedure could lead to significant errors in the effective permittivity and permeability values near frequencies where the reflection coefficient has low

Abstract
Effective electric permittivity and magnetic permeability for metamaterial structures are extracted from 3D field simulation data. The equivalent representation of the metamaterial is a homogeneous slab described with parameterized dispersive Drude and Lorentz models. The parameters of dispersive models are obtained by optimization. Proposed approach is applied to the extraction of effective material parameters for double negative metamaterial cells. ## Abstract In this paper we present a novel procedure for predicting the effective constitutive parameters of threeβdimensional periodic materials with chiral component phases. The method combines the mathematical homogenization technique and the finite element method. The homogenization is accomp

The usage of inverse models to derive parameters of interest from measurements is widespread in science and technology. The operational usage of many inverse models became feasible just by emulation of the inverse model via a neural net (NN). This paper shows how NNs can be used to improve inversio
