✦ Synopsis

better if the lactate dehydrogenase value was withdrawn from the staging system proposal.

Clinical staging systems are developed to provide accurate prognostic information for diagnostic therapeutic decision-making and, moreover, to facilitate communication between clinicians. Therefore, clinical staging systems must not be too complicated and should be based on a limited number of features. We suggest simplifying the AJCC staging system proposal by the points mentioned above to alleviate the classification of melanoma patients and simplify clinical communication.

## Background: Hypoxia-inducible factor (hif)1 alpha is considered to play a key role in the adaptation of cells to hypoxia by stimulating angiogenesis via regulation of vascular endothelial growth factor and by metabolic adaptation to o(2) deprivation. ## Methods: Expression of hif-1 alpha prote

## Abstract HIF‐1 is reported to transactivate expression of VEGF, which is an important angiogenic factor. To determine whether HIF‐1α plays a role in angiogenesis through its regulation of VEGF, we examined expression of HIF‐1α and its relation to clinicopathologic features, VEGF expression and p

## Background: Hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (hif-1) is a transcription factor that plays an important role in tumor growth and metastasis by regulating energy metabolism and inducing angiogenesis to survive cellular hypoxia. increased levels of hif-1alpha, the o(2)-regulated subunit of hif-1, were no

## Abstract Previous studies show that a number of natural compounds from our diet have anticancer effects. Sulforaphane is the most characterized isothiocyanates (ITCs), which are identified in cruciferous vegetables. Sulforaphane is viewed as a conceptually promising agent in cancer prevention. B

## Background: Hypoxia-inducible factor 1alpha (hif-1alpha) and hif-2alpha are essential regulatory proteins for the adaptation of tumor cells to hypoxia, and they stimulate angiogenesis through activation of the vascular endothelial growth factor (vegf) gene. ## Methods: Hif-1alpha and hif-2alph
