Abstract
Linearization of a BJT using a diode configured in parallel with the input reduces 2^nd^βorder distortion. Using a simple behavioral model cannot explain why this reduces IMD~3~. The experimental work presented in this paper will verify the mechanism involved and the possible range for reducing IMD~3~ by reducing the 2^nd^βorder effects. Β© 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Techniques for solving linear equations on a single instruction multiple data (SIMD) computer such as the ICL DAP have so far been confined to simple methods such as the Successive Overrelaxation and Alternating Direction Implicit algorithms. While these techniques are adequate for simple finite dif
