The.viirational r&xation of ortho-para-H2 mixtures :vas studied in the interval 400-50 K. At and above 300 K the ortho and para self-relaxation rates, .koo and kpb, tie identical within experimental error. In the low temgerature range, .koo > kpP and k,, is found to vary slowly with temperature.

✦ Synopsis
The vibrational relaxation of ortho-para-Hz in collisions with 4He has been studied in the interval 300-50 K. At 300 K the ortho Hz -He and para Hz-He rates are identical within experimental error. In the low temperature range ko~z_~e

## Rate constants for the deacrivarion of N,(u= 1) by n-H, and by PHI between 300 and 80 K have ken measured using laser fluorescence from CO(u= 1). There is no n-HZ/p-Hz difference. N,(v=l) is deactivated about 3 times more slowly than is CO(u = 1). Comparison with results in liquid N, support t
The information theoretic approach is used to analyse a series of quantum cross sections for the &-excitation of the n = 1 level of Hz and D2 by collisions with Li' and He. Surprisa! plots of the ratio of computed to prior cross sections show significant deviations from linearity over a wide range o
