## Abstract This paper presents experimental demonstrations of a dual‐band planar inverted‐F antenna loaded with a U‐shaped slot. The physical parameters of the antenna, including shorted‐strip widths and ground‐plane dimensions, are studied in detail and their effects on the center frequencies and
