β¦ Synopsis
The paper reports on the characterization of a side-pumped 40 W CW Nd:YAG laser. A side-pumping conΓΏguration with six laser diodes is used for the laser. We show the comparison between the calculated and measured pump energy distributions in the laser crystal. The birefringence and the thermal lens e ect of the Nd:YAG crystal have been experimentally investigated, and their in uence on the performance of the laser are discussed. Output power and beam quality of the laser under di erent output couplings, cavity lengths, types of cavity and di erent temperatures of the cooling water have been experimentally studied.

We have designed a high-average-power diode-side-pumped Nd:YAG laser acousto-optically Q-switched at a pulse repetition rate range of 5-20 kHz. Double synchronized Q-switches were used for increasing the hold-off current and obtained more than 200 W average output power at 10 kHz and 110 ns pulse du
We report a stable high power and high beam quality diode-side-pumped CW green laser from intracavity frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser with LBO crystal. By using a advanced resonator, a large fundamental mode size in the laser crystal and a tight focus in the nonlinear crystal could be obtained simult
