✦ Synopsis

We introduce the end-etched ÿber technique to separate all guided modes into individual mode rings. A direct measurement of the propagation constant as a function of propagation angle and ÿber parameters is demonstrated, for a single-mode ÿber. We have favorable experimental results when compared to the theoretical values.
