✦ Synopsis

When using various cryogenic devices in balloons, aeroplanes, and artificial earth satellites, in which gases from the cryostat are discharged into outer space, it is often necessary to maintain the working pressure in the cryostat at a given level, independent of the pressure of the surrounding medium.
