The singlet exciton-charge carrier annihilation rate constant KS has been measured CLS Xi x 10-5cm3 set-1 for hoies and electrons. The mngnitude of Ks is discussed with respect to the magnitude of rhc electron-hole recombination rate constant.

Singlet excitons in anthracene crystal are annihilated by trapped hoIes near an Au hole-injecting electrode. The efficiency of detrappiny is about 1%. The singlet exciton fluorescence can be modulated by means of a varying external eIectric field.
A second, electric field induced zero-phonon transition has been observed in single crystals of snthmcene-PMDA (pyromcllitic acid dimhydride).
We have measured the magnetic field dependence of the prompt fluorescente of anthracene crystals at temperatures down to 10 K. Fklow 50 K the field dependence of prompt and delayed fluorescente Γsnot symmetrΓ―c anymore. Thk shows. that the prompt and the delayed fluorescente originate from different
The reflection spectrum of the fust singlet charge transfer transition of anthracene-PMDA (pyromeflitic dianhydride) crystal has been obt.dned at temperatures close to 2 K. The spectrum is polarized along the stack axis and consists of a series of vrbronic bands, approximately 500 cm-l wide, with im
