β¦ Synopsis
The results of excess molar volumes for the ternary mixture N, N-dimethylformamide Ε½ . 4 Ε½ . Ε½ DMF q ethanol q water , and for the binary constituents DMF q water , DMF q . Ε½ . ethanol , and ethanol q water at T s 298.15 K were reported. Several empirical expressions were used to predict and correlate the ternary excess molar volumes. A pseudo-binary mixture approach was used to analyse the system studied. The partial molar volumes of Ε½ . ethanol at infinite dilution, and the apparent molar volumes of DMF q water mixed solvent at several fixed compositions were evaluated and correlated with the composition of the Ε½ . DMF q water mixed solvent.

Excess molar volumes V E m measured at the temperature T=313.15 K in a dilution dilatometer are reported for the binary mixture (N-methylformamide+ethanol) and for the ternary mixture (N-methylformamide+ethanol+water). The results have been analysed using various correlation equations. The results f

Excess molar volumes V E m have been calculated from measured density values over the whole composition range at T = 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure for six {N -methyl-2-pyrrolidinone + 1,1-dimethylethyl methyl ether, or dipropyl ether, or 1,1-dimethylpropyl methyl ether, or diisopropyl ether, or
Excess volumes have been measured by means of a continuous-dilution dilatometer for (N,N-dimethylformamide+benzene or toluene or o-xylene or m-xylene or p-xylene or ethylbenzene or styrene) at the temperature 298.15 K. V E is negative over the entire range of composition for all mixtures. =V E m (mi
