✦ Synopsis

Let T, M be a complete regular local ring of dimension at least 2, containing the rationals, such that the cardinality of the residue field TrM is at least the cardinality of the real numbers. Suppose p / M is a prime ideal of T. We construct an excellent regular local ring A such that the completion of A is T and Ž the generic formal fiber of A is local this means that the ring

We report the frequency stabilization of two DBR continuous laser diodes using the two polarization-independent transfer functions of a birefringent optical fiber ring interferometer. We present a Tm-doped fiber laser operating around 1.9 μm by bi-directional pumping with 1.6 μm-band laser diodes. The laser output pulse is built by using a gain-switching pump pulse with a bias pump pulse. The output pulse power is measured to 119 mW when the bias pump power and the gainswitching
