✦ Synopsis
The electrochemical behaviour of pyrite has been studied in I M sulfuric acid. Voltammetric experiments were carried out with synthetic pyrite. usmga carbon paste electrode. In this medium, theanodic oxidation of FeS, occurs at + 0.98 V us we and leads to the Co rmation of Fe' *, S and H,SO,. The reduction of FeSz to Fe'+ and H,S occurs at -0SOV.
