This concerns the article of Lockwood and Wagner' and Dr. Klotz's reply.' Our results are completely valid for drug-receptor systems, such as plasma protein binding, where it has been established that there is only one class of binding sites. We make it very clear that we are only discussing the rectangular hyperbola (equation (1) in our paper). We apologize for misinterpreting Klotz's article, but it is unfortunate that he did not make it clearer what he was writing about.

This is defined by the relation: where p is the specific heat at constant pressure, ฮท is the viscosity and ฮบ is the thermal conductivity of the fluid. In the case of gases a t
The purpose of this study was to validate three different techniques for obtaining motor unit number estimates of the rat medial gastrocnemius muscle. These consisted of two electromyographic techniques using unprocessed and digitally averaged unitary muscle action potentials, and one mechanical tec
Huperzine A (HUP-A), first isolated from the Chinese club moss Huperzia serrata, is a potent, reversible and selective inhibitor of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) over butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) (Life Sci . 54: 991-997). Because HUP-A has been shown to penetrate the blood-brain barrier, is more stabl
