## Abstract Esters of ferrocene carbonic acid with aminoalcoholes in the presence of carbonyl donators can exchange their central atom Fe against ^99m^Tc from pertechnetate yielding cytectren‐derivatives. Organ distribution of the ^99m^Tc labelled esters showed a high brain uptake.
