## Abstract Chemical investigations on the essential oil of __Lippia integrifolia__ performed by column chromatography, HPLC, GC–MS, ^1^H‐ and ^13^C‐NMR spectroscopy led to the identification of 78 components. A new sesquiterpene alcohol, __trans__‐africanan‐1__α__‐ol (4), was characterized as a si
