ESR spectra of NaO2, KOz, RbO2, and CsOz in rare gas matrices are consistent with an ionic hi+02 model of isoscefes symmetry, in accord with recent vibrational spectra. However, the ESR for Cs02 also Shows eVidt?flCe for an inversion of the uppermost occupied molecular orbit& which can be attributed
