Abstract
An equivalent circuit model of a triโresonance wideband dielectric resonator antenna is presented to give a physical insight into the wideband behavior of the antenna. The wellโknown LevenbergโMarquardt algorithm is employed to improve the convergence characteristics of the curve fitting method used for finding the complex equivalent circuit model values having three resonators. The equivalent circuit models with various combinations of the antenna parameters such as dielectric constant, probe length, excitation position, and airโgap are provided to verify that the proposed equivalent circuit model can give a good description of the antenna wideband behavior. ยฉ 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. laser (EXFO FLS2600). The transmitted optical power is measured with a powermeter (HP 81532A), working in the 800 -1700-nm range. Both the optical source and detector are connected to a computer by GPIB links. By varying the wavelength of the tunable source laser and measuring the transmitted power,

## Abstract The article proposes a compact microstrip line fed dielectric resonator antenna with half split circular, cylindrical profile which is experimentally investigated. It shows that at optimum parameters, this low profile, small size antenna gives a wideband response similar to that of its
This letter describes a modal-expansion analysis of a cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna fed by an embedded coaxial probe. The analysis is facilitated by introducing a cylindrical magnetic wall to enclose the resonator, and then the resulting structure can be treated as a cascaded waยจeguide di
